Arya Roshanian is a fiction and non-fiction writer based in Brooklyn. His reporting, essays, and criticism appear in the New York Times, BOMB, 4Columns, Guernica, PAPER, Gawker, Columbia Journal, and elsewhere. He was previously a staff writer at Bustle and Variety. Arya holds an MFA from Columbia University, where he was a finalist for the Henfield Prize, and a BA from University of Southern California. He begins a PhD at Columbia this fall and is finishing a novel.
